SHAWN WHELAN has over thirty years of graphic design experience in the publishing, advertising and marketing fields. He is an expert with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. He has created award winning design solutions and can help you in solving your design problems. He worked at the Long Island newspaper Newsday as an art director for twenty years. Since then he has become a "hired gun" creating graphic design, photo-manipulation and photography for many clients in various industries. Shawn's freelance work has covered the gamut from advertising, designing marketing materials and logos, to creating book covers for major publishing houses and environmental graphics for trade shows.
He is also an adjunct professor at S.U.N.Y Farmingdale College in the Visual Communications department teaching Design Production, Digital Media and Photograpy. In the past he has taught Digital Illustration and Digital Imaging classes.
